Philippe J. Dumoulin Obituary
Philippe J. Dumoulin, 84, a resident of Easton for over 50 years, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Connie J. (Anderson) Dumoulin for 56 years. Born in Taunton on Sept. 22, 1929, a son of the late Philippe J. and Sophie (LeBlanc) Dumoulin, he was raised in Taunton, attended Coyle High School, and moved to Canada where he finished his schooling. A veteran of the US Army, he served as a Corporal during the Korean War. Upon honorable discharge, Philippe continued his education at Northeastern University in Boston earning a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering. Philippe was employed as Chemical Lab Technician for Shipley Company in Marlboro for 21 years. An avid runner, he ran the Boston Marathon and was a member of the Colonial Running Club, the Hockomock Swamp Rats, the Greater Brockton Striders and Golds Gym of Norton. A founding member and communicant of the Holy Cross Church in Easton, he enjoyed swimming, growing flowers and orchards, indoor and outdoor trains, and the pleasure of his Koi pond on his property. In addition to his wife Connie, he is survived by a son Jay Dumoulin of Raynham; a daughter, Bridget Dumoulin of Easton; his brothers and sisters, Therese Beauvais, Mary Jane Jose, Norman Dumoulin, Robert Dumoulin and Diane Menard all of Taunton; a grandson, Billy Evans of Easton; nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, July 17, from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138), Easton, at 9 a.m. followed by a memorial Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours was on Wednesday, July 16, from 4 -7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Philippes memory may be sent to of MA., 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA. 02472 or to the .
