Mr. George S. Eisenberg, age 93, of Marblehead, entered into rest on August 5, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Gabrielle (Bergman) Eisenberg. Born in Boston, George was the son of the late Nathan and Bessie (Tucker) Eisenberg. He was raised in Chelsea and Nahant and later enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during World War II. After returning from the War, he lived in Manhattan, NY before settling in Marblehead, where he resided for over 45 years. George was a member of the North Shore Arts Association of Gloucester and the Copley Society of Boston. He loved his art, classical music, and above all, his family. In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter, Julie Janson and her husband Joseph of Jamestown, RI. He was the Cherished Grandfather to Margot and Eric Janson. He was the father of the late Stewart Eisenberg and brother to the late Bernice Cushing and Florence Michelson. Memorial Services at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St. SALEM on Sunday at 2:00PM. Interment will be private. Memorial Observance will be announced at the Service.
