Albert LaMonica Obituary

Albert Anthony LaMonica Sr., 82, of Quincy passed away peacefully at home Monday, June 3, 2013. Albert was predeceased by his parents, Una and Albert and his wife Marguerite "Peg" LaMonica. He is survived by his children, Albert LaMonica Jr. and his wife Kim of Quincy, Francine and her husband Arthur Isleb of Marshfield, and Robert and his wife Jackie of Quincy. He was the cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren, Erin, Anthony, Maggie, Sam, Jake, Luke, Max and Nick; dear brother of Rosemarie Foti and her husband Paul of Melrose. Albert was an avid lover of Jazz and Blues music. He was a huge fan of his niece, recording artist Donna Bryne. He enjoyed attending Tony Bennett concerts where Donnas husband, Marshall Wood, was the bass player. Albert served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW since 1961. Albert was also a proud member of the Plumbers Union Local 12. Visiting hours are Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., Quincy, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
