Giovanetti, Louis Allen 89, of St. Petersburg, passed away Wed., Oct. 23, 2013. He was born Jan. 13, 1924 in Plymouth, MA, a son of the late Louis Gino and Doris (Nickerson) Giovanetti. He served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1947 as a Naval Aviator in World War II attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He earned his B.S. degree from Boston University in 1949. He entered the FBI in 1951 as a special agent. He was later named and served as Special Agent in Charge in Denver, Charlotte, and Newark where he retired in 1978. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane; daughters Lynne (Bill) Boggs; Gail (Baird) Archbald; and stepdaughter Andrea (Steve) Krusko; seven grandchildren Emily, Greg, Elise, Kristen, Ryan, Nathan, Austin; and one great granddaughter Annika. A memorial service with military honors will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg on Sat., Nov. 2 at 11:00 am.
