Robert H. Borghesani Sr., age 75, died at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, following a long illness. He was the devoted husband of Rose M. (Cannucci) Borghesani. Born in Plymouth, MA on Jan. 24, 1938, he was a son of the late Antonio and Giconda (Brevegleiri) Borghesani. He was educated in Plymouth Schools and entered the US Air Force following his high school education. He proudly served his country as an Airman 2nd Class. Upon his honorable discharge, Mr. Borghesani worked as a laborer in construction for the Laborers Union, Local #721 until retiring in 1996. A lifelong Plymouth resident, Mr. Borghesani enjoyed gardening, taking pictures of his family, and working with his computer. He loved working with horses and held a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Peters Church in Plymouth. He will be deeply missed by the many hearts he touched throughout his life. He is survived by his wife Rose M. (Cannucci) Borghesani of Plymouth, and his three sons: Robert Jr., Kenneth and his wife Cheryl, and John Borghesani all of Plymouth. He also leaves his sister Joyce Hertel of Englewood, FL and his seven grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Kellsey, Rachael, Allison, Matt, and Brian. Visitation will take place on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Josephs Cemetery, Plymouth.
