George P. Murphy Obituary
George Patrick Pat Murphy, 65, died peacefully on Aug. 14, after a lengthy illness. George was the loving son of the late George V. and Mary B. (Cronan) Murphy and grew up in Stoughton. He was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1967 and raised his family in both Stoughton and Middleboro. George was a Middleboro Police Officer for twenty-three years and a devoted outdoorsman. He loved hiking, traveling, kayaking, motorcycles, all things in nature and being on the water. He was the loving father of Sean P. Murphy and his wife Deidra of Norwood, Ryan M. Murphy of Taunton, Jessica L. Levesque and her husband Adam of Middleboro, Rebecca M. Murphy of Middleboro, and Alexandra K. Murphy and her fianc, Jeremy Ogg of Middleboro. Known as Juju to his loving grandchildren, Abrianna, Katelyn, Aynsley, Jillian, Thomas and Brynn. Brother of Mary Cathy Reese and her husband, Bob of Bridgewater and Colleen M. Sullivan and her husband, Steve of Medfield. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. All services will be held privately.
