Dr. Hugo D. Angelini, 91, of North Andover, MA, passed away peacefully on January 22, surrounded by the family he loved. He was born in Clinton, MA to the late Joseph and Clarice (Piermarini) Angelini. He was married for 32 wonderful years to the late Marian R. (Alioto) Angelini and they lived in Wellesley, MA for many years. Dr. Angelini was a graduate of Clark Universityin Worcester, MA and Tufts MedicalSchool. After his internship at City Hospital,Worcester, MA he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. His residency in ear, nose and throat surgery was at Harvard Medical Schooland the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. He was in the private practice of otolaryngology for many years in Wellesley, MA. He also was an otolaryngologist for the Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Boston and a clinical professor at Harvard Medical School. He is survived by his four children: Stephen Angelini of Stow, MA; James Angelini and his wife Emily of Beverly, MA; Nancy DiDio and her husband Anthony of North Andover, MA and David Angelini and his wife Diane of Bedford, NH. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph Angelini and wife Maureen of Leominster, MA; Dominic Angelini of Clinton, MA; and sister Nita Angelini Giovannucci of Clinton, MA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Stephanie Angelini and Maria Angelini of Beverly, MA; Marian DiDio, Angelo DiDio and Anthony DiDio of North Andover, MA; and Lauren and Danielle Angelini of Bedford, NH, and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by two grandchildren, Lauren Angelini and Christina Angelini. Dr. Angelini was an avid sport fan and participant. He played competitive basketball into his 60's and tennis into his 80's. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff and nurses at Ashland Farms, North Andover, MA, for their exceptional care and kindness. Visiting hours will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 27th at the Conte Funeral Home,17 Third Street, North Andover, MA. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 28th at 10:00 am at St. Michael's Church, 196 Main Street, No. Andover, MA.
