Wayne Brynild and his wife, Anna, of Clermont, FL; three daughters: Lynne S. Pellegrino, wife of the late Anthony, of Sudbury, Luanne S. Cann and her husband, Michael, of Needham, and Lori S. Shorey and her husband, Robert, of Whitinsville; a sister, Margaret E. Brynild, of Flagler Beach, FL; eleven grandchildren; and three stepchildren: Robert Cetrone and his spouse, Linda, Steven Cetrone and his spouse, Angie, and Kimberly Cetrone and her spouse, Mary. Lars was born in Boston and raised in Wellesley, son of Lars and Catherine (Grant) Brynild. A graduate of Wellesley High School, he attended Northeastern University, Boston, and was a US Navy Veteran. Prior to settling in Clinton in 1994, he had been a long-time resident of Northborough. For 40 years, Lars worked as a welder and mechanic at Caterpillar Tractor, Milford, retiring in 2000. A member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish, and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Lars served the Town of Wayland as a Call Fireman (Ladder 1, Engine 5) from 1958-1963. He enjoyed boating, fishing, reading, and trips to Cape Cod, and Lake Winnipesaukee. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Lars's funeral will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in New Town Cemetery, Sudbury. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday, August 18, 2013, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. For those who wish, it was Lars's suggestion that memorial donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Massachusetts/Rhode Island Chapter, One Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114.
