MERRYFIELD, John W. "Jack"
Passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Windsor Regional Hospital at 81 years of age. Loving husband of Eleanor (nee Ruel) for 61 years. Proud father of David (Rosie), Donna Cowell (Scott), Lynn Davis (Kerry), Lori Parsons- Weedon (Ron) and Susan Merryfield. Adored grandpa of 15 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. Dear brother of Ruth Waddington (late Bill) and Robert Merryfield and brother-in-law of Pollyanna Vaughan. John will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. John retired from Norfolk Southern Railway in 1993 after 37 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Bethel-Maidstone United Church and was one of the original volunteer firefighters from Sandwich South Township. In retirement he enjoyed the fellowship of his Cottam Cripplers horseshoe buddies. His family will greatly miss him. Visiting at the
