HYSLOP, Lorison
Lorison Cecil Hyslop
March 7, 1926 - December 29, 2013
It is with joyful sorrow that the children of Lorison Cecil Hyslop a.k.a. (Sam), announce the passing of their much loved father on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 8:42 p.m. With his family by his side, he was finally reunited with his beloved wife Dorothy May Hyslop (2007) with whom he had shared 56 years of marriage. Lorison leaves behind his son Layne Hyslop (Pam) and daughters Mary-Elizabeth Schauer (Richard) and Diana Holowhcak (Dan). He also leaves behind his much adored grandsons Andrew, Aaron and Adam Hyslop, Alex and Paul Schauer and his "precious little granddaughters" Maggie and Marissa Holowchak. He is also survived by four nephews and their children and many cousins. Lorison passionately and proudly served on the Windsor Fire Department from 1950-1987 working through the ranks and retiring as District Chief. He was also an active member in the priesthood of the Community of Christ Church holding the office of Teacher upon his Superannuation in 2012. Lorison lead his life as a devoted Christian, helping others when in need, and being a friend to all. Most of all, he was a kind and gentle father and grandfather.
