Horace M. Rippier Jr., age 75, of 2810 Grove Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his daughter's home surrounded by loving children and family.

Funeral Services are 1:00 PM Thursday at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Post #9 of Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be held at Ritchay Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
Horace was born September 19, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to Horace and Dorothy (Militscher) Rippier. He was a truck driver for Consolidated Papers Inc. for many years. Horace served in the U.S. Navy from Sept 18, 1957 until Sept 13, 1962. He was a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Elks Club and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, swimming and landscaping.
Horace is survived by three daughters, Teresa (Joel) Peters of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Robyn (Mike) Cavanaugh of Port Washington, WI and Wendy Rippier of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; son, Daniel (Tammy) Rippier of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; three sisters, Gertrude (Jim) Brillhart, Frances Winters and Mildred (Leif) Olsen; 10 grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Betsy Rippier, son, Gregory and sister, Carol.
