Edward William Gray Jr.
NASHPORT: Edward William Gray Jr., 73, of Nashport, passed away July 7, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born August 25, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Edward W. Gray Sr. and Bessie I. Gray.
Ed retired from Lear in 2006 as Engineering Manager. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved to dance, golf, and bowl and was an avid gardener, which he loved. He loved to talk about his childhood days with his brother and tell jokes. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University and went on to get his Master's Degree from Finley University. Ed's favorite sport was Ohio State Football.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Julia Ann Chappelear Gray. He liked spending his holidays with family and his special brother, Ken Gray of Heath. He has two sons: Edward W. Gray III of Columbus and Andrew L. Gray of Florida; a daughter, Tammy (James) Morse of Lancaster; and one sister, Barbara J. Stewart of Gahanna. He also had many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents of Galion; one sister, Beverly Hibbler of Columbus.
Calling hours will be held from 2-5 on Friday July 11, 2014 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 5pm in the Snouffer Chapel.
