Oran Lee Mayle

MALTA: Oran Lee Mayle, 80, of Malta passed away Saturday November 10,2012 at 1:33 p.m. at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born September 1, 1932 in Malta to the late Elliott Mayle and Chloris Mayle Gibson.

Oran was retired from Federal Mogul Corp. and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Cornerstone South Church and attended the Church Of The Gospel Ministry both in McConnelsville. Oran was a former deputy for the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Martha Norris Mayle; five sons Ricky (Kathy) Mayle and Anthony (Nina) Mayle both of McConnelsville, Terry Mayle of Malta, Kevin (Sarah) Mayle of Alabama, and Eric Mayle of Sonora; two sisters Leona (Henry) Lett of Zanesville and Evelyn (Duane) Jenkins of Malta; three brothers Robert and Harold Mayle both of Malta, and Herman Gibson of Zanesville; a grandson Corey Mayle who was raised by Oran and Martha; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father Oliver Gibson; a daughter Diana Wells; two sons Timothy and Gregory Mayle; a sister Margaret Gibson; four brothers Leroy and Donald Mayle and Dennis and Harley Gibson.

Calling hours will be Wednesday November 14, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 15,2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone South Church in McConnelsville with Pastors Steve Smith, Galen Finley and Jim Brown officiating. Oran will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery with military honors provided by the Morgan County Veteran's Group.
