ZANESVILLE: Paula A. (Bernard) Zuccone 94, of Zanesville, went to her home in Heaven at 8:29 PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 holding her daughter Susan's hand with the rest of her family by her side, at Genesis Morrison House.
Paula was born March 24, 1918 in Renova Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Frank & Mary Egnozzi Bernard.
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, she graduated from Ohio Cosmetology in 1937, owned and operated Paula's Beauty Shop in Youngstown, retiring in 1946 and moved to Zanesville in 1947. She was a volunteer Grey Lady at Good Samaritan Hospital for many years. A member of the VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries, FOB Elks Club, a Brownie Leader and Avid Bowler.
She is survived by her Sister, Lee Sheridan, of Youngstown; her daughter Susan Marie (Keith) Zuccone Kimble; loving granddaughters: Kristina R. Jenkins, Susan "Shelly" (T-Bone) Hartman of Zanesville and Stephanie J. Kimble all of Zanesville; 11 great grandchildren: Laura and Anthony Jenkins, Kody, Karleigh, Kameron, Kalli and Kaiden Hartman, Joshua, Jacob and Natalie Bender, Malerie Vandyne; Great-Great Grandaughter Serenity Hartman. She is also survived by special friends: David Jenkins, Rick Vandyne, Danny Beem, The Bucci Family, and Laken ("Lincoln") Glaub.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel J. "Zell" Zuccone who died June 21, 2003; brothers & sisters, Eleanor & Richard Bernard, Lucille Joseph and Joseph Bernard.
Calling hours will be 2-4 Sunday, January 20, 2013 and Monday, January 21, 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the BRYAN & SNIDER FUNERAL HOME 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville, OH. Christian wake services will be held at 8:00 PM Monday January 21, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 144 N. Fifth Street Zanesville with Father Ed Gorman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville, OH.
