Robert J. Grimm

ZANESVILLE: Bob went to live with Jesus on August 19, 2014, following a courageous battle with Alzheimers.

He was a resident at The Oaks at Northpointe. Bob was born in Grafton West Virginia August 14, 1930. He is a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Anchor Glass after forty-three years as a mould maker. Bob loved making a joyful noise to the Lord playing his guitar in church for over 50 years. He attended New Hope Full Gospel Church.

He was a loving father, husband and grandpa. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darlene (Shiplett) Grimm; a son, Craig (Anne) Grimm; and daughter, Tammy (Rodney) Penos. Bob is survived by six grandchildren: Amanda (Paul) Donchess, Shannon (Jason) DiVincenzo, Heather DalPonte, Bradley Israel, Lindsay (Scott) Michel, Caitlin Grimm; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Jesse E. Grimm and Ada (Stansberry) Grimm; his in-laws: Forrest and Beulah Shiplett; sister in-law, Betty Wheeler; two sisters: Agnes (Charles) Kirkpatrick, Gladys (Dale) Zink; and two brothers: James Craig and Burton Edwin.

Calling hours will be Thursday August 21, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at New Hope Full Gospel Church 3550 East Pike Zanesville, Ohio. Services will commence at 11:00 am August 22nd at the Church with Pastor Joseph DiVincenzo officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
