Jack L. Edwards

ZANESVILLE: Jack L. Edwards age 80 of Zanesville, OH passed away Friday July 5, 2013 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born May 12, 1933 in Noble County, OH a son of the late Jacob and Mable Hupp Edwards.

Jack served and protected our Nation in the US Army in the 35th Infantry Regiment, Tank Company during the Korean War. He spent his career in the automotive business. His passion was buying, selling, repairing and making cars shine. He believed all cars and shoes should shine!

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Tom and Bob Edwards.

He was loved and will be missed by his family, wife Doris Swank Edwards of the home, whom he married October 3, 1953; daughter Pam Edwards of Columbus, OH; son Doug Edwards of Columbus; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Sunday July 7, 2013 from 1:00 PM until the service time at 3:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with a memorial service to be held at 3:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Don Hart officiating. Concluding the funeral services at the funeral home, the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations will conduct military honors. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Genesis Hospice, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701.
