Peter and I were friends at Augustana college. He was a serious student and an enthusiastic friend of many. I admired his academic excellence and always enjoyed my contacts with him. At our fiftieth reunion I enjoyed our lunch together that included Marty Katz. The conversation was wide-ranging and included fond memories of our liberal arts educations and the professors we remembered best. Peter's character was the finest - caring, generous, enthusiastic, and intelligent. I only recently learned of his death. I wish his family well and know that they will have the comfort of many memories of Peter, an extraordinary person.

Dr. Lindberg was very important in my life. He helped me get thru my prostate cancer with minimal deleterious side effects. He actually pulled me away from a treatment that would have left me with some very unpleasant residual conditions leaving me considerably incapacitated. I owe him for the high quality of life I've been able to continue long beyond any expectation.

Since 2002, Dr Lindberg was my oncologist. I know he truly cared for me personally and as a patient. He thought of himself as a "country doctor". I thought of him as the Lone Ranger who was able to pull out a silver bullet (a drug) to use on my cancer when other drugs were failing. Never in my thoughts about the future did I see Dr Lindberg going to meet our Lord before I did. I was devastated when I read of his passing. God's blessings on Mary and his children. He was an amazing doctor, and a good friend.

Peter Lindberg was my oncologist for 15 years. He knew more about PCa than anyone within 1000 miles. He made a difference in my life and the lives of many other men. When we met, we talked about me for a few minutes, then we talked about books he'd read, new research underway, world affairs. I have lost my doctor, I have lost a friend.
