Bernadette P. Segura, loving wife, mother, and friend, passed away after battling brain cancer on Friday November 4, 2016.
"Bernie" was known for her loving spirit, generous heart, and cheerful disposition.
She is survived by her husband Orlando; daughters Christal and Celina; three sisters: Marlene Santillanes and husband David, Charlene Lucero and husband Charlie, and Vangie "Honey" Garibay and husband Danny. She is additionally survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and an exceptionally long list of friends who loved her so much.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Moises and Carmen Gonzales; mother Vangie Gonzales, and brother, Daron Perea.
The family is so grateful to the many people who surrounded them with love during this difficult trial and wish to say "God Bless You!" for this.
A service will be held to celebrate this bright and captivating soul at Gate of Heaven Chapel on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 am to be followed by internment at the same cemetery. The family asks that friends and family wear red to the service in Bernie's honor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UNM Cancer Center or to Ambercare Hospice, two organizations which took such good care of Bernie during her illness.
