Joseph Waters Obituary
Joseph "Joe" P. Waters, Jr., age 43, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 immediately after an accidental fall at his home in Seattle, WA.
He is survived by his mother, Billie Waters of Albuquerque; and many friends, including his Microsoft family in Washington. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Patrick Waters.
He was born in 1972 at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. Joe graduated from Albuquerque Academy in 1991 and then attended New Mexico State obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Engineering in 1996. Joe worked for a short while at Sandia Labs before leaving to start computer programming for various games. He moved to Dallas in 2000 and then to Seattle in about 2003 where he went to work for Microsoft as a Programming Engineer. Joe played AYSO soccer and also the viola in the Hoffmantown Church Orchestra while in high school. Joe held a black sash in Kung-fu. He loved his dog Spike who he had for 17 years and had just bought a new puppy, Chuck. Joe was known fondly by his friends as the guy with the mohawk. He was a loving son and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with a reception to follow. Interment will then take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joe's name to the Wounded Warrior Project,
