Time is a slow thief, as the adage goes. I reconnected with Robin after many years of drifting off in our own lives and doing our own things. However, I was instantly reminded of what I always appreciated about her. I'm frustrated by the way she left this world. I know that she wanted to do more. Some of those things were typical things, like growing old with Phill, raising her son, enjoying and sharing her creativity. Also, some not so normal things: apparently, there is an unfinished history degree in her life story. She was unapologetically herself and never seemed to expect anything different from anyone else (I think that surprised people on more than one occasion)! There was a lot of love in her heart and I am glad that I knew her even though that time seems awfully short now.
