Gerald Hern Obituary

Gerald A. Hern went home at the age of 59 on Thursday, December 17, 2015. He was surrounded by loved ones and friends. Gerald resided in Anton Chico, NM during his younger years and in Albuquerque in his adult life. His life's trade was carpentry and hobby was gardening, which brought him much joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Angelina and John Hern Sr. and brother William Hern. He is survived by his loving wife Geraldine Hern of 14 years; son Adam Hern; and grandchildren Adam Jr. Marissa and Christian; son Adrian Hern and grandchildren Mariah, Marie and Adrian Jr.; daughter Abriall Hern and son Benito; daughter Amber Lucero, husband Ricardo and grandchildren Raquel and Leland and step-son Ahmaud and grandson Jayk; five brothers and five sisters; numerous nieces,' nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.
Services will be conducted at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107 on December 23, 2015. Viewing: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Memorial Service: 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Memorial Dinner 7:30 pm â€" 8:30 pm, American Legion Post 69, 9000 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114
"He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed â€"they grew calm and he guided them to their haven of rest â€"psalm 107:29-30"
