Coll, Lawrence Britton



Lawrence Britton Coll, 73, of Hobbs, NM, died Monday, March 20, 2017. He was born on May 3, 1943, in Artesia, NM, to Britton and Kathleen Coll. Lawrence married Kathleen Baker on June 5, 1968, in Albuquerque, NM, and they celebrated over 48 years of marriage. After a 25+ year banking career in Albuquerque and Hobbs, Lawrence retired and worked as a financial consultant and most recently as an environmental consultant for Constructor's Inc. in Carlsbad.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Kathleen Coll, of Hobbs; children, Katelyn Scott and her husband, Jeff, of Cincinnati, OH, and Jori Sechrist and her husband, Tim, of Abilene, TX; sisters, Janis Shoup of Carlsbad and Sue Pemberton of Artesia; grandchildren, Lauren and Cassidy Scott and Britton and Addelyn Sechrist; an aunt and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest sister, Jean Williams Boling.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Hobbs with the Reverend Greg Kennedy officiating.
