Marcie and I met Bill when he came to Trinidad in 1976 to manage for
Western Oceanic. We became good friends - an easy thing to do with Bill. We recall good times spent in the back yard of his house near the yacht club where he would set up his bar in a convenient location under the lime tree. We kept in touch for a few years with him sending our newborn son Michael a lovely pewter plate in 1979 that enjoys pride of place in our living room to this day. On hearing of the birth of his son Marcie made him a blanket with trains on it. In 1981 he surprised us with a bouquet of flowers as a thank you to the only Canadian he could think of for the help of Canada in the Iran hostage crisis. After that, in those pre-email days, we lost touch although we thought of him often. I tried a number of times to search for him on the internet with no luck until today when I learned the sad news. Great picture - you'd hardly changed a bit Bill with your personality shining through you smile and the twinkle in your eyes as always. Farewell my friend - we are sorry that we could not meet again. All the best to Marilyn and your family.

I was fortunate to know and work with Bill for many years. Yes, he was a great duck hunting host to me and my family. He was smart, dedicated, and honest. That why he was trusted to run operations all over the world. Never met a stranger. In later years a fine family man. He was a great friend and my family will miss him. Gary and Barbara Kott

Stanley and I are so grateful for the many dear memories gathered over years we were so fortunate to have Bill as our friend and neighbor. We shared so many neighborhood birthdays and holidays, good times and hard times, so many pet stories, and the kindest condolences when we lost our beloved pets. It won't be the same without you, Bill, but we'll forever cherish these memories, keep them in our hearts, and be thankful for the good fortune of your friendship.

I regret that I only met him once. Last year, he, Marilyn & two of the granddaughters visited Jackie (Marilyns 1st cousin) & me in Tennessee. There was an immediate connection. It was as if I had known Bill forever. I found out quickly that he was one of the good guys. God bless & comfort his wonderful family.
