Madlyn Joy Bringmann, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Rogue River, Ore., on Nov. 8, 2017.
Born on Oct. 18, 1940, Madlyn was the oldest daughter of Wilbur and Joann Milton. She was raised in Rogue River and met the love of her life, George Bringmann, while in high school. They were married on April 23, 1961. In 1969, after moving to Anchorage, Alaska, to join George who was working there, Madlyn continued to raise her two sons, Scott and Skipp, and helped George create a large electrical company, Alcan Electric.
Madlyn and George love to entertain their friends in Anchorage; Big Lake, Alaska; and Rogue River. They both were warm and welcoming hosts. Madlyn treated everyone she met as family. She would constantly go out of her way to make sure her family and friends had whatever they needed, she simply had to take care of everyone.
In 2001, Madlyn and George returned to Rogue River, Ore., to enjoy their retirement. She enjoyed nothing more than to be outside working in her gardens and flowers, feeding her grey squirrels and birds, while looking across the valley at Fielder Mountain.
After the passing of her sweetheart, George in 2014, Madlyn would make annual summer trips back to Alaska to fish on the Kenai River at Skipp and Jill's cabin, where her entire family would gather for her and her hugs.
Madlyn was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, doting great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was adored by all who met her and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Madlyn is survived by her son, Scott Bringmann; son and daughter-in-law, Skipp and Jill Bringmann; grandchildren, Nikolas and girlfriend Molly, Sage and Caley; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Beckett; sister, Pat Pizzuto and sister-in-law, Irene Simms.
Per her wishes, there will be no service held. Any correspondence to the family can be sent to Alcan Electric, 6670 Arctic Spur Road, Anchorage, AK 99518.

Stayed with with you when your mom. and dad went on their Hawaiian trips and you were in school in Anchorage. Take care and know she was loved.
