Darla Dee Ann Rodland, 50, of Palmer, AK, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 13th at her home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday May 18th at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9475 E. Colony Way in Palmer, AK. A viewing will be held from 10-10:45 prior to services at the church.
Darla was born May 10, 1963, in New Orleans, Louisiana to William V. Pellman and Sharon Dowies. She graduated High School from West High in Anchorage.
Darla has been a resident of Alaska since 1978 and has resided in Wasilla, Anchorage and currently in Palmer.
Darla has worked at Prime Cable, Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, Alaska Housing, and Scentsy. She was also Women's Auxiliary President of VFW Post 1685. Darla was proud of being a Foster Mom and Domestic Engineer of her home. Darla loved raising children. She loved all animals especially dogs and enjoyed embroidery and gardening.
Darla was a loving mother and wife and was unselfish with her love and care for us and others. She always saw the best in everyone. She was very kind and patient and will be with us forever in our hearts.
Survivors include her husband Eric; sons, Jeremy Bennett of Abileen, TX; Sean Rodland, Wasilla, AK; Weston Rodland, Palmer, AK; daughters, Julia Vendetti, Palmer, AK; Jamie Otto, Peters Creek, AK; Ryanne Rodland, Moscow, Idaho.
Darla was preceded in death by a brother, Brian K. Pellman.
