Ed was a wonderful man. His sagacity and open-heartedness were appreciated by all who knew him. I will miss his smile and generosity of spirit.

Dear Harriet, What a shock it was to see this in the Anchorage paper. It's a terrible thing for you to deal with the loss of your son. We always enjoyed your stories of his many endeavors. Know that the Anchorage "water sprites" are all thinking of you. We send you our love, prayers, and healing peace,

Dear Laura, Kelsey, Sara, Chris and Luke. Each of us are thinking of each of you and remembering the great Alaska times we shared. A favorite memory of Eddie: the kind way he helped the littlest toddler get a chance to tap the pinata at your epic Night Before Christmas neighborhood parties. He'd have all the kids lined up, from tall to small, and he make it easy for the little ones and challenging for the big ones as he delighted in yanking the rope to pull the pinata up to match their screams. Kids squealing and just a roar of fun coming from the basement before dinner! Just remember his huge joyful smile, always. He will be with us always as a unique character, with no other to match him.

We are very saddened to hear of Eddie's passing. The first time we met your dad was at St John's Pre-school when he came to pick-up Sarah(beth), and exuberantly announce that Chris had been born. We have so many joyous memories of Eddie, and The Cronicks!
Your dad was a man who knew great enthusiasms, and carried all in his midst along with him on his next adventure...
We grieve with you, and for you, at this time of great sorrow and loss.
You are in our hearts and prayers-- Erin, Christopher, Peter and Meghan (Mandell)

Ed was one of my teammates on the Colby swimming team, and I always looked up to him as an outstanding athlete with a wonderfully positive attitude. Remembrances of him will always bring a smile. He now lives eternally in God's grace.

Eddie and I shared a ton of great times over the last 15+ years. Watching the Pats win their first Super Bowl at the Cronick home is something I'll never forget. A few years later, we got to watch the Sox end the curse together! I'll definitely miss hearing Ed yell at the TV when a Boston team screws something up. Ed was so proud of all of you kids and be sure that he will be watching over you all with a big smile on his face. Sending hugs to all of you. The Anchorage Boston gang will miss you, Eddie. Peace to you and your family.

Dear Kelsey, Sarah, Chris & Luke,
So many good times with your family-we'll miss Eddie so much. Not many people had the grand visions he had or could cook a better prime rib roast.

I'm sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He gave me a chance and taught me many business lessons that have made me successful. He was great at numbers and had "no fear!" I remember him smiling and how much his family meant to him. God bless and may you rest in peace Ed.

Linda and I were shocked. This is too soon. I know my father died at about Kelsey's age. We love all of you kids and hope you and your mother find peace in your hearts. You all built so many good memories there will be so many things that you will remember. The trick is, is to not feel sad when they occur. Take it for what is was-something that made you happy because your dad and mom created a situation for you.
I will always remember your Dad's Christmas gathering and the Santa Suit. He loved playing Santa with the little kids. He loved all the action when all the prom stuff was going on.
Peace be with you Ed and your family.

Travis and I send our very sincere condolences to all of you....Ed's family and friends. Such a heartache and such a loss. We remember him vividly at your Anchorage home on Christmas Eve. Children running throughout the house, wonderful food, stories and the anticipation that Santa was on his way....
May you hold on to and cherish the many memories he gave you and the spirit and love he instilled in all of you. Travis and Patti Hudson
