As the people were leaving the cemetery today and we were filing past Cade's family, both his Mother and Father hugged me. I so wanted to say something profound, but "I'm so sorry for your loss" just sounded so lame at a time like this. When the wound is so deep to your souls I could not think of anything that would be appropriate to say that could express the extreme sadness I felt for what you must be going through. Cade was a very good friend for my grandson, Anthony Lewis. I had met Cade a few times when he was out doing stuff with Anthony. He was an awesome guy! You were all very blessed to have had him in your family. I just can't imagine losing a child. I was doing pretty good at the entire funeral proceedings until you both gave me that hug there at the cemetery. For you to be in so much pain, and still reached out to others to help them to feel comfort was just overwhelming to me. I appreciate the strength that you both have. My thoughts are with you and your family with all of my heart.

You don't know me, but I heard about William because I'm friends with Alene on Facebook. I just want you to know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers. My mother suddenly passed away just a few weeks ago and although my experience is not exactly like yours, I know that it meant a lot for me to hear that others were mindful of me and my pain. Like you, I have a testimony of the Savior and I'm so grateful for the promise of the Resurrection. I pray that you can feel the love of Heavenly Father sustaining you during this most difficult time. Please forgive me if this message is intrusive, I just want you to know that I'm adding my prayers to the many that are being uttered on your behalf.

Cade has touched so many lives and is missed very much. Everyday that goes by I meet someone that knows Cade. Cade your son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend has been loved, is loved and will always be remembered for his smile and wonderful personality. Remember, as the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
