Amy Smith Obituary

Amy Alyssa (Moore) Smith, 37, of Anchorage and Wasilla, Alaska, was just passing through when she came to visit us on Nov. 11, 1980, as a baby. We fell in love with her and watched her grow. Amy had three children: Kathryn, Raimon and Samson Moore. We shared her successes and challenges along life's pathway. Amy held several jobs including work on the North Slope and Moose Drop Inn, which was a bed and breakfast in Wasilla created and managed by Amy. Amy had been married for almost two years and was a victim of domestic violence and abuse and loved beyond most limits. Amy was 37, and her visit was shorter than anyone expected. Amy had a passion for camping, horses, dogs, hats and scarves. Amy could quit a job and get rehired by the same employer.
Amy is survived by her three children Kathryn, Raimon and Samson Moore; a brother, Paris Moore and his fiancee Jasmine Lecato and their two children; many aunts, uncles and cousins; grandmother, Dolores Moore; and parents, Eddie and Christine Moore, all of Anchorage.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at 1 p.m., at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street, Anchorage, AK 99501.
Arrangements are with Janssen Funeral Homes.
