Xeryus Tate Obituary

Xeryus Trinidadd Naron Tate Pittman, "Iggy," was born on June 15, 1999, to Aleaka Tate of Vancouver, Wash., and Ronald Pittman of Anchorage, Alaska. Iggy walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on July 31, 2016. Iggy attended Bartlett high School in Anchorage and planned to transfer back to Hudson's Bay High School in Vancouver, Wash., to finish his senior year, with plans to attend college in 2017. Iggy had such a great potential from a very young age. Iggy was an avid lover of sports and excelled in football, basketball, wrestling, soccer and track and field with dreams of conquering baseball. He also enjoyed video games, dancing, singing and being goofy with family and friends. His sense of humor brightened our lives. He will be forever loved and missed. Iggy attended Light House Christian Fellowship in Anchorage, where Dr. Kennith Friendly is pastor. Iggy also attended Bible Fellowship Community Church in Vancouver, Wash., where Anthony Bert Harris was pastor. He was baptized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior on March 29, 2009. All who knew Iggy were touched by his love, kindness, honesty and friendship. He was truly blessed with a God given tender heart and lived a remarkably unselfish life. Iggy will not only be missed and mourned by his families, "biological and chosen," but by the entire community of Anchorage, Alaska, and Vancouver, Wash., who will never forget his bright smile and jovial nature. Iggy is survived by his mother, Aleaka Tate of Vancouver, Wash.; and father, Ronald Pittman of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Tee-Tee Walden and Amarige Pittman of Vancouver, Wash.; paternal grandmother, Carolin Pittman of Anchorage; and maternal grandparents, Harriett and George Padmore of Vancouver, Wash. Iggy is also survived by three aunts; two uncles; three great-aunts; two great-uncles; and a host of cousins, loved ones and friends. Iggy's loving great-grandparents, Henry and Georgia Hunter; great-aunt, Alice Hunter; aunt, Darlene Dunbar; and cousins, Anthony Bert Harris II and Harvey Lee Hunter II, all precede him in death.
