In memory of a young woman who loved family, friends and community; touching all; whose smile lifted darkness and warmed hearts; An artist, a dancer, a friend, a sister, an inspiration. There was nothing she couldn't do; her passionate kindness impacting so many lives. Her service will be at Kenny Lake School, Mile 5 Edgerton Hwy, AK, Tues, Aug. 21 at 1 p.m. followed by a short reception.

While on a University sponsored film project in Tanzania-Africa, Adrina Knutson-21, died in an auto accident. Adrina was born Feb 16th, 1991, the first daughter of Tony and Julie (Lightwood) Knutson. Her home was in Kenny Lake, Alaska on the homestead of her grandparents, Sam and Marian Lightwood. She attended Kenny Lake School for thirteen years and completed three years at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks as a film major.

From a young age she used art, photography, writing, dance, and film to express herself. Adrina saw life as an adventure waiting to be had, taking along anyone willing, more importantly Adrina knew God loved and cared for her and if she delighted in the Lord He would grant her heart's desires. She threw herself into life knowing He would carry her through. Adrina's life on earth was short, but filled to capacity, touching more lives than most ever hope to. Adrina has completed her journey and is now home; a more beautiful, energetic, and loving person than we can imagine. Adrina will be missed beyond words.

Adrina was preceded in death by: great-grandmother, Dorothy Maxwell, and by eight days, grandfather, Samuel Lightwood. She is survived by: parents, Anthony and Juliana Knutson; sisters, Samantha , Kristi, and Deanna Knutson; grandparents, Marian Lightwood and Adina Knutson -Kenny Lake and Howard Knutson - AK/CA; aunts, Roxanne Mays (Tom) - Fairbanks, Gayle Vukson (George) - Wasilla; Uncles, Sam Lightwood - Connecticut, Ed Lightwood (Kathy) - Anchorage; cousins, Gina and Ryan Vukson, Jessica (Joel Smith and children) and Micah (Penny and children) Mays, and Piper and Max Lightwood.
