Lifelong Alaska resident, Aleta Alice Krueger passed away in Anchorage on December 18, 2012 at the age of 62.
Aleta was born in Unalaska, AK on May 11, 1950 to William Sr. and Hilda Berikoff. Her parents were among those Aleuts forcibly relocated to Southeast Alaska during World War II, moving back to Unalaska prior to Aleta's birth.
Aleta will be remembered by her youthful spirit, her altruistic nature, and her profound love for her grandchildren. She loved gardening, telling stories over a cup of coffee and brought joy and laughter to those who knew her. Aleta will be greatly missed and memories of her will be truly cherished by those who loved her.
Aleta is survived by her son, Reyn, daughter-in-law, Mariah, her grandchildren, Dominic, Tayla, and Ava; her sisters Betty and Hilda; brother William, and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held January 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Witzleben Chapel, 1707 S. Bragaw St. in Anchorage, AK. A potluck will be held following the service from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Aleutian/Pribilof Islands Association, 1131 East International Airport Road in Anchorage.
