A public visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at 2 p.m., at St. Innocent Russian Orthodox Catherdral, 401 Turpin Street in Anchorage. A funeral service will follow immediately after.
Alice was a homemaker and loved to cook for her family and friends. Alice was a beautiful and caring woman who touched the lives of any and all who knew her. She married the love of her life, Simeon Balamoutoff, on July 17, 1954. While Simeon was a fisherman, Alice provided a loving and warm home for all who came to her. Alice lived a full life surrounded by her family and friends. Alice and her husband Simeon had an unbreakable bond that included lots of love and laughter through their great sense of humor.
She is survived by her sisters, Annie Benard and Agnes Dushkin; brother, Nicholas Dushkin; daughters, Barbara Dicus, Loretta Clayton and Phyllis Bovee; sons, Simeon Dushkin and Orson Balamoutoff; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Nicholas and Justina; husband, Simeon; children, Lucille and Oscar; and siblings, Steven, Richard, George, Eugene, Sarah and Josephine.
Arrangements were by Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
