Bradford James Philbin passed away of heart failure on Sept. 21, 2015, at the age of 59. He was surrounded by his wife of 33 years, Joyce, and his loving family. Brad, born in Wrangell, Alaska, moved to the Mat-Su area in 1981, to raise his family. He formed his own company, B&E Landscaping & Excavation, which he ran for several years and specialized in moving structures. Brad enjoyed boating down the rivers with his friends and family and hunting moose on the Yukon River with his sons and lifelong friend, Steve. Brad is survived by his wife, Joyce; his sons, Joshua, Jake and Caleb; his daughters, Meghan, Kallie, Katie and Nancy; and his eight grandchildren. Brad was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty and Pete; his brothers, Curt and Joe; his sister, Shannon; and his young sons, Charles, Jeremiah and Jason. Brad's life will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at 4 p.m., at the Palmer Elks Lodge #1842 in Wasilla, Alaska. Friends and family are welcome. Arrangements were under the direction of Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
