Carol Susan Nolan passed away on Feb. 9, 2018, after a lengthy illness at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. She was born in Udine, Italy, to Donald E. and Marianne Nolan. Carol lived in Italy, Idaho, England, Colorado, and Utah before moving with her family to Anchorage in 1969. Carol graduated, in 1974, with honors from East Anchorage High School. She attended Anchorage Community College and completed her associate degree in Secretarial Science.
Carol was employed as an administrative secretary in the Anchorage School District; then as Executive Secretary with Sheffield Enterprises; and later in Patient Scheduling at Providence Hospital. Carol married Bill Lindsey in 1996 and left the workforce. Carol and Bill made their home in Anchorage and during their time together they traveled frequently and enjoyed the company of their three west highland terriers. Carol relocated to Marysville, Wash., where she resided until for health reasons she returned to Anchorage.
Carol is survived by her mother, Marianne Funk of Washington; her brother, George D. Nolan; nephew, Ryan Nolan; and niece Taeya Olson and family, all of Anchorage.
Carol was cremated and her ashes placed in the Columbarium Wall, Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.
