Charlyne M. Charly Finch, 55, of Fort Myers, Fla., died on Oct. 20, 2016, at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers. She was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on June 22, 1961, a child of Norris L. and Frances M. Finch. After graduating in 1980 from West Anchorage High School, she went to work for Union 76/Unocal for several years. Then in 1991, she moved to Cape Coral/Fort Myers, Fla., where a lot of her family then resided. Charlyne worked a variety of interesting jobs such as, vacation travel planner, construction carpenter, accountant and she started a business in paint restoration on boats. In between jobs, and for fun, she worked in the food and beverage industry as a bartender, waitress and hostess. She loved fishing and camping and also enjoyed bowling, cooking and entertaining. She was an avid book reader and worked numerous jigsaw puzzles, some of which became Wall Art. She was an Artist. She was a "Believer." Charlyne's life was always more fulfilled when helping others in need. She was such a loving mother to her surviving twin son, Tyler Hitchcock, now 22 yrs old. She is also survived by her mother, Frances M. Finch of Seattle, Wash.; her father, Norris L. Finch of Palmer, Alaska; her brother, Alan Finch of Palmer, Alaska; her sister, Jeannine (Jim) Dare of Palmer, Alaska; and nephew, Joshua Finch of Wasilla, Alaska. Charlyne was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Alan Hitchcock. Funeral service will be held privately by the family.
