Anchorage, Alaska, resident Codi D. Jolin passed away suddenly on July 19, 2017. A service will be held on Aug. 11, 2017, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 8110 Jewel Lake Road in Anchorage, at 4 p.m. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Gallo's Mexican Restaurant, 8615 Old Seward Highway.
Codi was born on March 28, 1991, in Anchorage. Codi was raised in Anchorage and graduated from Service High School in 2009. He then became a member of the IBEW. Codi enjoyed the Alaskan outdoors, often hunting, fishing, hiking, rafting and camping with family and friends. Growing up, he played multiple sports including wrestling, basketball and baseball.
His parents wrote: "Codi's smile, magnetic energy and enormous heart were what we loved most about him. Everyone who met Codi loved him. He was an utter delight and made us so proud to call him ours."
His grandparents, Kathy and Joe Spicola wrote, "Codi was our little boy, the light of our lives."
His grandparents, Connie and Mitch Jolin wrote: "Codi was a special part of this family. He will live on in our hearts forever."
His brother, Austin and sisters, Sabrina and Isabelle wrote: "Codi was more than our big brother, he was our best friend. He watched over us when we were little and was always there for us when we needed him. Our big brother was a man of honor and charisma. Codi left a lasting memory that can never be forgotten."
Codi is survived by his nephew, Colt Jolin; his three siblings, Austin, Sabrina and Isabelle Jolin of Anchorage; sister-in-law, Carma Jones; parents, Mike and Kathijo Jolin; grandparents, Joe and Kathy Spicola, Mitch and Connie Jolin, and Gene and Jackie Letts; great-grandmothers, Mary Armijo and Vivian Jolin; Uncle Shane and Heidi Jolin; Aunt Jennifer and Jake Dickinson; Uncle Abraham and Heidi Spicola; Aunt Charmaine and Brent Johnson; beloved Johnson girls; beloved Rocco Spicola; beloved Jolin girls; beloved Dickinson children; and numerous great-aunts, -uncles and cousins.
Codi was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Steve and Nora Belarde; great-grandfather, Eugene Jolin; grandfather, James Boroughs; and parent, Jason Boroughs.
