Crystal Charlene Sifsof was born on Feb. 19, 1967, to Ernest and Doris Sifsof of Dillingham, Alaska. Crystal is survived by her daughter, Sharlee Jayde Doris Sifsof; father, Ernie Sifsof; godmother great-aunt, Anna Nielsen; brother, Bernard Lopez; sisters, Moureen Lopez and Sandra and Dan Kemp; great-aunt, Gertrude Backford; aunts, Barbara Lopez, Helen and Mickey Foster and Margaret and Hugh Schroeder; uncles, Victor and Jane Sifsof and Lawrence Sifsof; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The most favorite things she loved to do was to be with her daughter, Sharlee, playing, shopping and attending every school function. Her daughter Sharlee was her pride and joy. She said many times how important her dad, Ernie, was to her and one of her top priorities was his wellbeing. After her mother's passing, it was important to her to continue to keep the family safe and cared for, always putting others before herself. Crystal was the lady of the house and took loving care of her daughter, Sharlee; her dad, Ernie; and her partner, Tom Olson.
Crystal graduated from Dillingham High School and went on to college and received her Associates of Arts in Business. Her career led to work at Fox 4 as the Program Director, where she received an award for not missing a day of work. When she moved to Dillingham she went to work for the State of Alaska, Department of Family & Children Service. Crystal loved fishing and grew up in the family commercial fishing business and subsistence lifestyle.
She enjoyed outdoor activities. She was a pleasure to be around with her positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor. You could always depend on her. She happily volunteered in fundraisers for her church and included her daughter to teach her to do good works.
Crystal was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Sifsof; grandparents, The Very Reverend Basil and Matushka Helen Sifsof and Henry and Mary Shade; great-grandparents, Constantine and Natalia Backford, Elena Backford and Leo and Vassa Sifsof; great-uncles, Agafangel, Keefa and Benjamin Backford; great-aunts, Vera Wahl and Dora Kapatak; uncles, Leon "Buddy" and Billy Sifsof Jr., Morris Lopez, Henry, Herman and Harvey Shade and Chuck Nielsen; aunt, Dolly Brannon; and cousins, Matthew Blair, Harvey, August, Gordon and Carvel Shade, Nolan and Alice Foster and Valerie, Vince and Anya Sifsof.

Ernie wants to acknowledge and thank Ashley Sifsof and Danielle Kemp, his nieces, for making the video of Crystal that was shared at the feast and will continue to be enjoyed by all. And thank you to all of you who attended the services in Anchorage and Dillingham, who called, stopped by, brought food, flowers, cards and for your prayers, support and kind words.
Thank you, Ernie Sifsof and Family.
