Danteveon Omari Potter Gibbs, 11 years old, passed away on September 11th, 2013, at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

A visitation will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 at at Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home, 11621 Old Seward Highway, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers include Jameil Atkins, Karl Maddox Jr., Jonathan Greene, Josh Gibbs, Paul Cole, Deandre Strong.

He was born on April 14, 2002 in Anchorage to Erica Gibbs, and Dante Potter. He was in the 6th grade in Anchorage. He lived in Dallas, Texas from 2004 to 2008. He was involved with the Jehovah Witnesses, and non-denominational Christians. He won awards for sportsmanship, as well as Pee-Wee Football. He enjoyed dancing, rapping, video games, riding his bike, football, fishing, swimming, reading, and spending time with family. He was handsome, intelligent, strong, motivated, funny, resilient, confident, talented, creative. "A young boy who put a smile on everyone's face, full of love and full of life."

He is survived by his mother, Erica Gibbs of Louisiana, and father, Dante Potter of Texas. His grandparents, Bridgette Williams, and Dorthy Gibbs, and Robert Potter. Great grandparents, Mary Maddox, and Irene Gibbs. Brothers, Deandre Strong, and Damarion Gibbs. Aunts, Nikeeta Potter, Tiana Williams, Ruth Hayes, Aisha Pure, Shawanna, Casonya, Stephanie, Rendy, Leviticus, Leonardo, Dorthy Denise, Shalisha Gibbs. Uncle, Josh Gibbs, Romeo Potter, Quentin Williams, Karl Maddox, Dale Maddox, Lenoard and Leonard Jones. A host of cousins and relatives. Isaih Williams Jr., Brian Hayes Jr., Anthony Knight.
