Anchorage resident Darren S. Henslee, 30, died Sept. 8, 2008, at his home.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Sunday with the service at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E St.
Darren was born July 19, 1978, in Anchorage. He had been in Alaska his whole life. He worked at Arrowhead Environmental Services.
His family wrote, "Darren was a very loving and generous person who enjoyed the simplest things of life, like spending time with family and getting together with his many friends. He never met a stranger. Darren will be remembered most for his giving personality, easy-going way of life, kind heart and endless smiles. His love for his family, and especially for his son, Cody, was felt each and every day. He will be deeply missed by all."
Survivors include his son, Cody Henslee; mother, Diane Truitt; brothers, Tyler and Justin Henslee; sisters, Bobbi and Brittany Henslee; sister-in-law, Michelle Short; grandmother, Pat Self; grandparents, Gary and Renea Truitt; aunts, Gloria Self, Joyce Geis and family, and Janine Truitt; uncle, Gary D. Truitt; cousins, Linda Self, and Tommy and Travis Truitt; and nephew, Ethan Henslee.
Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
