Darren Patrick Ginty, age 44, passed away in his sleep, at his home, on Sunday, November 6, 2016. His death was sudden, unexpected, and tragic. It appears that he succumbed to a diabetic blood sugar spike, which went unnoticed. His wonderful co-workers helped Darren's family to discover that Darren had slipped away from this life, when he didn't arrive at work on Monday, November 7, 2016. Darren was born in Seattle, WA in February of 1972, during a snow-storm. He was raised in Snohomish, WA, where he attended Zion Lutheran School, Cathcart Elementary School, Valley View Junior High, and graduated from Snohomish High School Class of 1990. Darren attended ITT Technical college after high school, and worked at Safeco Insurance in Redmond WA, where he met and married Kathleen Holloway Gonzalez in 1995. Darren completed his college degree in Computer Aided Drafting at Charter College in Anchorage, Alaska 1998. Immediately upon graduation, Darren was hired to work at Anvil Corporation, where he worked for around 15 years. Most recently, Darren worked for CH2M-Hill as a senior pipe designer, and master sarcastic jokester among his friends! Darren was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Holloway Gonzalez Ginty, in December 2010. Darren stepped up to finish raising their three surviving children: Giovanni (27), Marissa (24), and Conner (20). Left behind to mourn his death are his mother, Patricia L. Edwards (Snohomish, WA - married to Archie Edwards), his father, Theodore P. Ginty (Moses Lake, WA - married to Sonja Ginty), his sister, Kelley Ginty Lyday (Snohomish, WA - married to Gregg Lyday), his nephew, George Lyday (21) and his niece, Emma Lyday (18), his son, Giovanni Ginty (27), his daughter, Marissa Ginty (24), and his son, Conner Ginty (20), and his two granddaughters, Savannah Kathleen (3) and Maya Marie (20 months). Darren leaves behind hundreds of heartbroken friends and family members who will deeply miss his jovial character, his witty humor, and truly compassionate nature. Poker guys will miss their games! May YaHuWaH comfort all who are hurting, until we see Darren again in the great resurrection, when Messiah returns! In lieu of a memorial service, the family would prefer to receive your condolences, memories, and words of how Darren impacted your life either on Darren's Facebook page or send them to 9110-168th St SE, Snohomish WA 98296. If you want to donate funds to Darren’s son, Conner, you may deliver them to CH2M-Hill, located at 949 E 36th Ave #500, Anchorage, AK 99508.
