Long time Alaskan Daryl Robison, age 54, passed away on Nov. 16, 2015, at the Alaska Native Medical Center with family by his side. A celebration of Daryl's life will be held at 3 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at the Anchorage Funeral Home & Crematory, 1800 Dare Avenue in Anchorage, Alaska. A memorial potluck will follow the services, so please feel free to bring your favorite dish. Daryl was the youngest of three children born on Jan. 18, 1961, to Raydean and Donna Robison in Modesto, Calif. He moved to Alaska with his parents and siblings when he was 8 years old, and graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute in 1979. Upon returning to Alaska, he worked for Herbie's Auto Body and Anchorage Chrysler. Daryl was very skilled in auto body repair and spent many hours custom painting vehicles. He enjoyed skiing, fishing, camping and had a love for hunting, but his most favorite thing to do was spend time with his boys. Daryl was so proud of the men they have grown to be and no matter how bad his day had been, everything was right when he was with them. "Daryl will be deeply missed by his family and friends but he will live on forever in our hearts," wrote his family. Daryl was preceded in death by his father, Raydean; and sister, Deanna Mercado. He is survived by his mother, Donna; sons, Darick and Ryan Robison; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Lori Robison; nephew, Elmer Mercado-Robison; niece and her husband, Melissa and Roy LeBlanc; nieces, Shawna Rodgers and Jesi and Jolie Robison; great-nieces, Lianna Jones and Anjel Mercado-Robison; as well as many extended family members and friends across the country.
