Anchorage resident Debra Kay Frisby, 50, died March 25, 2009, at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel, 440 E. Klatt Road in Anchorage.
Debra was born May 6, 1958, in Chambersburg, Pa. She graduated from James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, Pa., in 1977. She came to Anchorage in March of 1987, and had been employed at Northwest Technical Services for the past 22 years.
She was a member of St. Thomas Assembly of God Church in St. Thomas, Pa., before moving from Pennsylvania. She was involved with a bowling league, JBER, and she was a collector of beautiful art, pottery and Longaberger baskets. She enjoyed nature and camping outings.
Her family said: "Deb was a loving wife, daughter and sister. She was a devoted and beloved friend. Her gentle spirit and unfailing kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. Deb will be forever loved and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of sharing in her life."
She was preceded in death by her father, John Lininger.
Survivors are her husband, Mario A. Frisby of Anchorage; mother and stepfather, Bonnie J. and Ronnie L. Miller of Chambersburg; sister and brother-in-law, Jody R. and David A. Koontz of Chambersburg; and nieces, Abigail S. and Emily R. Koontz of Chambersburg.
