Debra's journey began on June 28, 1959, in Kassel, Germany. Her journey on earth ended on Nov. 14, 2017, in Soldotna, Alaska. She was graciously given the gift of life for 58 years, but had to return a gift so precious. She would always say how grateful she was for every breath she was allowed to take.
"Leave no regrets and let it be known, several times a day, 'how much you love your family and friends.' My children, Ashley and Justin, are so special to me. I will always watch out for them from above. I will miss the daily phone conversations I had with my mom, Edith, especially those about old time recipes. My brother, Bobby, I will miss the laughter and adventures we had when roller skating, gardening, Hot Rods, sneaking out together (oops ... sorry, mom)."
Hi, I am Virginia, the sister. What is left comes deep down from my heart. I will truly miss our telephone calls, now you find out how special they were "unlike the arts that live on forever," our conversations are no more. Thru my sister, I saw how much effort and courage was expended to live even one more day. Her willpower was off the charts. She was encouraging to all around her. My comfort: "She is at home with Heavenly Father. Debbie, we miss you and love you."
Instead of flowers or donations, my sister would ask that you do an unexpected, unconditional act of kindness for someone less fortunate in her name. She would want the experience to be rewarding for both.
Burial will be set at a later date.
