The Guest Book is expired.

Elwyn Garbutt passed quietly in his home on July 7, 2017. He was 84.
Elwyn is survived by a granddaughter, Dante Medema with her husband Talon Medema and three great-granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Miyoko; his parents; and his sister.
Elwyn was born in Dallas, Ore., to Elmer and Mabel Garbutt. He joined the military and traveled to Japan during that time, where he met and married his wife, Miyoko.
A veteran, Elwyn humbly earned two bronze stars during four tours over Vietnam and Korea before retiring. He went on to work at Sears, and spent his retirement days fishing on the Kenai and snow-machining the hills surrounding Eureka. Elwyn will be forever remembered as a kind man whose happiness and good-natured sense of humor stayed with him until the very end.
A small celebration of life will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. For more information, please contact Dante Medema at 907-351-9746.
