Enrique ""Rick"" Maglaqui, age 81, of Magalang, Pampanga Philippines, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017. He was born to the late Adolfo and Pacita Maglaqui on Oct. 21, 1935. He was married to his predeceased wife, Leonila Fortes Maglaqui for 58 years, and survived by eight children; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In his younger years, he worked as an auto body mechanic in Saudi Arabia and owned a body shop for almost two decades in Pampanga, Philippines. Rick was well known and well respected in his neighborhood. He served for almost two decades as a councilman for his barangay in Villa Paz, Philippines. Up to this day, people look up to him for guidance whenever he visits Pampanga.
Rick was known for his love for fashion – a man who's always well-groomed, well dressed and wears excessive cologne. He's a handyman with passion for cooking and eating excellent food, particularly hamburgers with fries.
In his free time, he enjoys dancing and singing karaoke - singing ""My Way"" by Frank Sinatra was his favorite. Rick enjoys traveling alone or with the entire family. He loves spending quality time with his kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His ultimate pastime was playing bingo and cards with his family and friends.
Rick, Tatang, Ampa, Ingkong, will be forever remembered.
