Ernest Earl Reeves was born in Phoenix, Ariz., on June 8, 1959, to Virginia and Tom Reeves. He passed away at home on Nov. 26, 2017.
His family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, around 1974, and Ernie met his wife, Connie, at West High School. They started a family and stayed here in Alaska and raised their four children. He worked as a baker for many years with Carrs and then Costco. In 2000, Ernie caught the entrepreneurial spirit and opened his assisted living home, Hidden Heights. He was a kind and gentle man with a huge heart. He employed many diverse Alaskans and grew his extended family. He gave everybody a chance and gave nothing but love. He retired in 2010, and spent time with his love, Willie, as they traveled around together. His greatest accomplishments were his four children and five grandchildren.
He is survived by his brothers, Steve and Tommy; sister, Carol; his children, Eric, Shawna, Michael and Johnny Reeves; his grandchildren, Shayon, Sharyah, Jaden, Avonce' and Amonte'; his nieces, Jennifer and Sunshine; and nephew, Stevie. He will be greeted by his mother, Jean; and father, Tom.
There was a private funeral and he was cremated on Nov. 29, 2017. There will be a celebration of his life on June 8, 2018. Contact Shawna if attending for location at [email protected].
