Evagene Boston, 79, died June 22, 2012 at Pioneer Home Anchorage, Alaska.

Evagene was born August 28, 1932 in Wyoming. In 1965 she moved to Anchorage and for 25 years was a greeter at Anchorage Baptist Temple.

Her interest included church, family, and shopping. Her family says of her, "Evagene was a very special, loving, giving, caring, compassionate, Christian lady. She was proud of her family and her church. She quickly turned strangers into friends with her warm personality."

Evagene is survived by her children Billy Boston and wife Cherryl, Tina Boston, Cindy Pluid and husband Frank; grandchildren Daniel and Ed Boston, George and wife Ashley Kendall, Jarrid and wife Carrie Kendall, Bill and Jeremy Boston and also her great-grandchildren Cora, Campbell, and Cienna.

There will be visitation at Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home (11621 Old Seward Hwy) from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 (viewing only). Service and Interment will be held at Fort Richardson National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 (Please meet at the Fort Richardson Gate at 1 p.m.).
