Florence Buchholz Obituary
She was born Sep. 7, 1922, in Lodi, Calif. She married Norman Buchholz in 1941, and lived in California and eventually moved to Arizona. Florence and her husband moved to Anchorage in 1971 and retired from running their own electrical contracting business in 1985 and traveled around the United States in their 38 foot motor home for the next 20 years. They settled in Kerrville, Texas, from 1985 to 2003, then moved to Spokane, Wash., from 2003 to 2008 until the passing of her love of her life, Norman Buchholz, of 65 years. Florence returned to Anchorage at Chester Park in 2008 to be near her family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 14, 2011, at Chester Park's main lobby at 2 p.m.
She loved gardening, growing African violets, fishing and most of all traveling in their motor home to all 49 states (flew to Hawaii) after they retired.
Florence is survived by her son, Leslie Buchholz and his wife Sue Buchholz; daughter, Carol Hebert and husband Dennis L. Hebert; sister, Norman Jean Wilson; grandchildren, Diane Hodges, Keith Hebert, Brian Hebert, Daniel Buchholz and Matthew Buchholz; and six great-grandchildren.
She took great pride in her two children, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and partaking in family traditions and celebrations. She will be dearly missed but will live on in our hearts and memories.
Florence will be placed in an urn garden at Pines Cemetery in Spokane, to be joined with her husband, Norman Buchholz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association at 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, N.C. 28201, in memory of Florence Buchholz.

Florence is remembered as a loving cousin and friend. The aura of her kindness and friendship overflowed to all she came in contact with. Memories of this loving lady will be cherrished forever.

Florence was a very nice neighbor when she and Norm lived on Jupiter Drive, next to us. Their dog would often visit us. A great memorial suggestion. Praying for Dr. Graham, and the Bucholz family. Nancy Doner
