Longtime Anchorage, Alaska resident George Keith Griffith Jr., 65, passed away on December 24, 2017 in Anchorage, Alaska with his loved ones surrounding him. Per his request, there will be no public services. His family will gather together in the summer of 2018, to scatter his remains in Resurrection Bay, where he loved to fish. Keith was born December 30, 1951 in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated in 1969 from Maplewood High School. On March 14, 1978, he married Lyurinda, the love of his life. He resided in Tennessee with his wife and three kids, until October 1990. He moved to Anchorage, Alaska and worked for Norstar Color until he retired in 2016. Keith was an avid fisherman/hunter, and followed his lifelong dream to move to Alaska. He will be forever remembered by his honesty and integrity. He was a loving, kind, and dependable man, and made an impact of every person in his life. He is survived by his wife Lyurinda, daughter Carolyn (Don) Stedingh, Son Robert (Amy) Mulkey and daughter Heather (Mike) Ririe, all of Anchorage, Alaska, and his six grandchildren Cheyenne, Mycala, Autumn, Dakota, Maddy and Emma, his brother David Griffith, sisters Joann Kyce and Carla Austin. Keith was preceded in death by his mother Violet Jones, his sister Shirley Fisher and his father George Keith Griffith Sr.
