Trudy was born and raised in Petersburg, Alaska, and lived the majority of her honorable life in Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska. Trudy lived some brief years in Seattle, Wash., and went to business college; among the things she learned was shorthand. During that time one of Trudy's friends fixed her up with a blind date. This turned out to be our father, Eugene "Slim" Gallagher. They married and together had and raised their four children: Stanley, Steven, Kristi and Karen.
Trudy enjoyed working for a secretarial service, doing typing and word processing, and being a teacher of the Bible and sharing her knowledge with others to better their lives. Some of Trudy's other interests were music, singing, dancing, playing piano, teaching herself to play ukulele, knitting and sewing. However, most of all she loved and cherished her husband, children, Alaska, Anchorage and her God Jehovah, serving him faithfully as one of his witnesses.
Her husband and her son, Stanley, predeceased her.
The family said: "Our mom will be lovingly remembered by us for her selfless devotion to us her family, her self-sacrifice and her fantastic home cooking. Keeping a hungry tribe of kids fed, she always had to cook large-scale!"
She was a wonderful devoted wife and mother. Trudy was very loved and respected by her family and congregation members who shared her faith in Jehovah and her assured hope of resurrection during a future promised time when her health and youth will be restored according to God's Word the Bible, under the oversight of God's son.
